 My idea has changed. I didn’t like the way I was going in the other idea and I want to look at kaleidoscope images but using landscape images which I really like doing.

I want to try and make an image that creates a shape in the centre if I combined other images.

Preparation:

All I need is a camera so I will sign out a camera from the studio

 I plan to test my idea and see if I can create interesting images using landscape images. I will tilt the camera to the side so the horizon is from the top corner to the bottom left corner. Then I will use Photoshop to edit and make the image more interesting and exciting to look at.

Once thinking up the idea I went outside around the collage and looked around at the tops of buildings anything with a straight line that I create my idea. I tilted the camera so the horizon or the straight part of the image is from a top corner to the opposite bottom corner.  I did find it hard to find good horizons and I think next time I will go to the forest to get some really good landscape images.

I found this shoot really interesting and I really like the outcomes of the images I edited and I like the process, which I do to get the images.

I really like this idea and I think I could develop it much fairer.

I think overall all the images that a shoot could create the I had and all they need done to them was to be put in the right order on Photoshop then edited a bit using levels and curves.

In this image I created I really like the way the four images make the images look like a ball or the world. I like the shape the images create in the centre of the image. I think I may look at how the image looks in black and white.

 

In the image below I really like the way the building is in slightly different angles and positions in each of the images. I also like the shapes in the centre, when all the four images are put together. If I were to do it again I would maybe try changing the colours of each image or slightly change the contrast.

To develop my idea I think I will do a shoot in the forest and use people in them this time. I think I want to show different landscapes to make up the one image because I think it will make the image more interesting to look at.

Doug Aitken is a photographer where I got the idea from. I really like his work and I hope to develop my work but still keep this idea.
