Work Record

After shoot

I really thought the shoot went well and I think I got some really good images that I could create kaleidoscope images with. I did think while taking the images what would be the best way of creating the best kaleidoscopes so I tried all the ways I could think of e.g. the main subject across the shoot or I close up of the object that covered on side of the image. Overall I think the images came out how I wanted them to and I’m happy with the shoot.

When I got back to edited them, I found that when I used two images and repeated them twice each it turned out ok but when I just used one image and repeated it four times it turned out more like a kaleidoscope and I think they worked better.

I think the difference from the one image I took to the image that looks like a kaleidoscope is a very big difference and I think made the composition better.

This image I created using one image of a purple and orange flower and made to spread across the top left corner to the bottom right corner. I really like the way the four images put together creates and interesting pattern and that it looks like it has been reflected.

This one is my favorite images that I produced because of the colours, the patterns and the shapes. When editing I made the background black and white to show of the bright colours of the flower and I made the back ground blurry to.
These to images I created because I wanted to know if my original idea worked or the second. I think looking at the two images I think the second is the best one because it looks more like what I wanted to create and looks more like a kaleidoscope.
The first I created using two images and the second I creates by using only one. I think the second looks more like one image, where the top looks like four images suck together.

I changed the levels and curves using Photoshop for both of the images.

I think I will keep with the idea and maybe look at doing landscapes again but only use one image and repeat four times to see if it works as well for landscapes as it did for close ups.

I think I’m going to go to a lake and do the same thing and just get some interesting images to create the best images I can.

The images below are what I hope to achieve.
