Work RecordMy idea is to look at the colours and shapes of lights against a dark background and to see if I could possibly draw objects in the dark and if it works in the studio I hope to try it in the forest and create more of an interest composition.
Preparation:
• I had to book in to use the studio.
• I will have to buy some glow sticks.
• Bring in a torch I have looked up how to create light art on the Internet and printed out instruction.
I plan on the day to test my idea and see if I can create bright colours and shapes using different types of lights and colours. I hope that they come out really well and that I well be able to continue with my idea and develop it in different ways.
How to create light art:
Set your camera on the tripod and take a sample shot with flash/light on. This will help you verify that your composition is ok. Set the exposure to a relatively long value. Stop down the aperture as much as you need. If you are outside do nothing. Once the shutter is open use your flashlight to light the stuff that you want to "paint". You can use a flashlight as a brush, and smear the light just like you would have done with brush and paper. Or you can use the light as a pen. Areas where you go slowly will be more lit then others. Don't linger over the same spot. Once the shutter closes then look at the image you have created and see if you need to correct you image.
I hope to create something like the images below:
